Annotation:
This research aimed to identify the fundamental differences in the creative abilities of representatives of ethnic cultures. Through purposive sampling, 190 musicians (95 Li ethnicity and 95 Miao ethnicity) and 196 artisans (98 Li ethnicity and 98 Miao ethnicity) were selected. All participants provided information regarding their age, gender, and education level, and evaluated their creative abilities using the Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale (K-DOCS). Differences in the creative abilities of musicians and artisans, as well as representatives of Li and Miao ethnicities, were determined using independent t-tests. The impact of socio-demographic variables on creative abilities was assessed through multiple regressions. The study revealed that individuals of Li ethnicity tend to notice everyday creativity more, whereas individuals of Miao ethnicity are more inclined towards artistic creativity. Musicians are more likely to acknowledge academic, scientific, and executive creativity, whereas artisans are more inclined towards artistic creativity. Significant differences in creative abilities were observed among genders, different age groups, and education levels. Recommendations for the development of musical and artisan activities among representatives of ethnic cultures are provided based on the study findings.
